Christmas in Bruges.

On the Bruges market square an ice-rink will be built. Lots of little shops where you can buy anything from Christmas stuff to clothing as well as any type of food, snacks and drinks. Very tasty ghluwein (Herbal wine, specially made to drink warm) will be served-our favorite!

Shops in the major shopping streets will be open on Sunday the Shops will be open on Sunday during Christmas and New Year season. All shops and Ice-Rink will be closed on Christmas day.

There are several smaller Christmas markets in Bruges which also have shops and are open every day.

De ganse binnenstad (dit is het volledige gebied binnen de stadspoorten met uitzondering van de ring tussen Bloedput, tunnel onder 't Zand tot aan Unescorotonde) wordt op zondag 19 september 2010 volledig autovrij tussen 10.00u en 18.00u. Uitgangspunt is dat alle autoverkeer op basis van een tijdelijke politieverordening verboden wordt (zowel inkomend als uitgaand), uitgezonderd bussen, taxi's en hulpdiensten. Gelieve hier alvast rekening mee te houden mocht u bijvoorbeeld al iets gepland hebben die dag.

Verspreid over gans de binnenstad zullen vele activiteiten en animatiemomenten voorzien worden die gericht zijn op een zo breed mogelijk doelpubliek (van jeugd tot senior).

Great news for the all Belgian Beer Lovers.
On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 september 2010, The Bruges Autonomous Beertasters will organise, in co-operation with the municipality of Bruges, the 4° Bruges Beer Festival.

67 breweries and beer firms* will present about 278 beers on the festival.  (click on 'Item' breweries or beers in the left column to explore our great brewers and beers!)

Apart from 6 Trappist breweries and some artisanal Gueuze blenders and brewers, you will encounter the best from Belgian's Beer landscape.
